This is the Gospel (Good news) that we Christians preach, teach and share in pastoral care: John 3:16-17
¹⁶ “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (to die on the cross to save sinners as a free gift), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. ¹⁸ Whoever believes in him is not condemned (on the Last Day at the Last Judgment)”
